Okay, we're on the first section of Food Gathering. Always stay calm and nourished. And this is the physiological responses of what happens when you think you need food and you don't. And when you do need food and you don't have any. And then how to deal with those physiological responses from a clear mindset using the trained psychology that you've been working on through these eight survival essentials to assist you in this three days of being lost or stranded in the wilderness. Remember the wilderness survival essentials. I created this over time to train people how to keep yourself safe and protected and get found within those first 72 hours if you ever became lost or stranded in the wilderness. I've said many times how I've seen more lost and stranded people in society than I ever did in the wilderness. We have so much going on in our world today, and it affects our physiological very, very much. When we have our systems working together, so we have our skeletal system, our muscular system, we have our circulatory system, our respiratory system, our digestive system, our nervous system. And we have all those functions, all of our organs, they all rely upon each other. And when one is depleted, it's sending signals of, you know, hey, I'm desperate here, I need something here to other areas of the body. And to play this out in the mind as to what those signals are and to how to keep one straight on the path of success when you don't have any food, or when you do have it and you don't have water. So here's the thing: when you're out in the wilderness and you find yourself lost or stranded, and you don't have any of your gear, none of your food or water or anything, and you can you can be okay for those three days. You really can. You just have to have a strong mind. It's not like you're gonna die if you go three days without water. Your body's just going to go through some things. Your mind's going to go through some things. So this part about subjecting your body to your mind. So if you feel like you're hungry and you need it and you're like getting overtaken in your head, subject your body to your mind. Why? Because your mind is stronger. You just tell your mind, hey, listen, body, look, we're working through some things. We got a few hours to go through here. We're going to work this out, but don't you worry. And you talk to yourself like this, and you tell yourself, look, we've got all the strength and capacity we need right now. We're going to stay focused on getting found, staying alive, staying calm. Now, it's also a good idea to start taking up the study of wild edibles and medicines. So that what terrain you may find yourself in. If you're frequenting this particular area and you know some of those resources, get to know them better, find out what those plants and trees and shrubs, etc., are really useful for and what they can do for you in these situations. And not just that, I grow my medicines here at my home, my comfrey, plantain, yarrow, molin, and garlic and others to assist me. I don't have to go off to the mountains to gather these powerful medicines. I make my medicines here at my home. So this physiological process is very, very important. Now I want to finish this. Subject your body to your mind. Why? Because your mind is more powerful. Then subject your mind to the spirit. See, when you give yourself up to spirit and say, hey, look, uh, you know, my eternal self is strong, and I'm just kind of surrendering to that right now. My body's going to be fine, but it's kind of like ignoring the body because the mind is stronger. It's kind of like ignoring the mind because the spirit is stronger. You don't want to ignore spirit. When you get good at this, you don't have to really separate it out. It's just a continual process. It's like you already trained yourself how to and when to subject your body to your mind, your mind to your spirit, and your spirit to the essence of God. So when you realize that you are made of this God essence, this electromagnetic energy, and you don't have to have this fear instilled within you. It's only a couple of days. You know, you might find yourself out of your situation sooner than that. And then there's the other part. What if you don't? Then what are you going to do? Then what is your thinking if you're not found within those first 72 hours? It's good to learn how to know what these other plants are, these other shrubs and trees, like I mentioned, because that can give you food in the interim. Maybe not what you're used to or what your body essentially needs completely, but it is nourishment. It is nourishment, and your thoughts are nourishment. When we eat negative thoughts, so to speak, we do not become nourished. We have to think primarily in a focused and positive way in order to have that play out in a positive way in our systems. So you've got to know that you're thinking, so the psychology and the physiological are so powerful in this. I sat around so many fires over the years with groups of people, and especially with the youth. And even when we're fixing our rice and lentils, and man, you can make rice and lentils pretty good over the fire. It's it's good eating, really. And these kids would be speaking of McDonald's cheeseburgers, pizza, all the other foods that they missed, and the flavors and what they really wanted. And I would watch them humorously play out these emotions as to what food did to their psychology and their physiological. It's very interesting what happens when we have fear enter the spectrum, when we think we only have so much food to last, and we try to ration, that fear begins to take over. And so don't, like I've said about water, don't keep your water in your canteen. The best place to conserve water is in your body. Now, when you put food in your body and you don't have water, your body will consume the water that's already in your body in the action of digesting food. So you do not want to eat if you do not have any water. Discipline yourself, discipline yourself, discipline yourself. Do you know that you can make yourself pretty much do anything that you desire if you stay focused and committed? So you've just really got to understand that, yeah, food's important. It's it's we need it. But how bad do we need it? And under what umbrella are we used to having it? So when you look at today's world, and people will pay for this food, so you figure one person, fast food delivery to your home, ten bucks minimum, pretty much, to get a burger and fries and a and a drink, say, and or pizza or something that people order, and then it gets to your house and you pay that Uber or not Uber, uh DoorDash or any of these others, their fees. And when you look at these fees and you add those up over a year, it comes up to thousands of dollars when you think about all the money that you spend on caffeine over the year, it adds up to hundreds and thousands. It adds up, it takes a toll. Okay, what does that add up to in the value of your body? What are you putting in? How are you using your thoughts, your words, your feelings, and your actions to set yourself up primarily so that when times are tough, you don't worry about that food and water. You don't worry about it. You just act out in a positive, certain way that knows that the end result is powerful and positive, and you're just fine. And that you might get a little hungry and thirsty. It's not a big deal. This world does not put our life on the line except for in a mental way. Interesting. All right. You just gotta understand and watch yourself and listen to yourself. Pay attention to your body, listen to the signals it's telling you. Do the things that are hard that make yourself healthy and well. Your life will go by in a flash. And then you're left wondering, oh I wonder what would have happened if I would have drank more water over all those years instead of all that soda pop that made me fat, for example. Or what about the 40-year-old that dies from a blood clot? What about the 50-year-old that dies from a heart attack? What about all these strange things that possibly, okay, and I'm gonna say almost most certainly could have been prevented if we would have made some adjustments along the way. Think about it, think about it, think about it. Have a great day.

There we have episode 45 of Survival Essentials, food gathering. Always stay calm and nourished, physiological. This episode makes me think about how much do I really need food when I think or my body is suggesting I need food. I think I'm gonna start beginning stopping and asking myself, do I really need the food I am desiring? Am I upset about something that took place and want food to be an antidote? However, really I should be praying and work towards healing myself inwardly. If you enjoy this podcast, please remember to share this with your loved ones, family, and friends.
