Here we are doing our review on shelter. And so we talked about shelter types, we talked about the creation, we talked about location, we talked about insulation, and gosh, the more that I thought about shelter and how many people in this world are basically feeling so unsafe, so unprotected, so vulnerable, so afraid. And so that's what I really want to hit on the most here in this review of Shelter is how to go about each and every day keeping not just you, but your home, your circumstances, your family, those you love and care about, you know, all the good things in your circle of life, in your world, basically, safe and protected from the harsh elements. And there happen to be quite a few harsh elements in this world. And the difference in today's world versus three decades ago is the exposure to global society on a scale that no one ever thought possible through social media on such a personal level that it appears that we have all of these relationships and all of this information and all of this external stimulus available to us as if it is real, as if it is something we need to do, as if it's something that we are obligated to do, and it is stripping people from the necessary thinking patterns to keep themselves protected. The thinking patterns that you need are different than an automatic habitual way of living that doesn't have a conscious thought of change. Now I know I just said a lot of information. Let's just see if we can summarize on that because you want to stay safe, you want to feel safe, you want to know how to keep yourself safe, but not you know be afraid of the world. You want to be able to still live each and every day with as much joy and as much happiness and with the energy and the vitality, the flexibility, adaptability, all these things, being able to design your life, feeling good about how things are going, loving the relationships you have, and being able to be consciously engaged moment to moment through self-mastery. Now, self-mastery, that's a big term and a big area, but what I'm saying is knowing that you only have control of four things your thoughts, your words, your feelings, and actions. And once you begin to control those, you'll begin to get results in phenomenal ways with the situations that you want to. So, how do you want to go about each and every day? And how do you want to go about this each and every day scenario so that you're not feeling like you have to keep yourself so protected that you're pushing others away, but just that you know you're protected and you can embrace the world the way that it is, but not get caught up in it, not get emotionally involved to a point that it robs you of your current homeostasis of certainty. In other words, you don't want to be taken off the trail, you don't want to hear noises in the wilderness and then be taken off the trail. You want to stay certain, you want to not be distracted, you don't want to go into self-doubt. So, when it comes to this whole idea of survival essentials that I've been going on and on about with so many dang episodes, I'm kind of thinking that shelter is extremely important, but you've got to know everything else in survival essentials so that you don't just kind of go into a cave and try and stay protected and think that everything's bad out there because it's not. You just have to know how to discern, how to navigate, how to work through it, and how to understand the truths and the non-truths, and be able to allow yourself through the preparing and training of this to come short of some of your goals so that you can not take a personal or think that you're failing, but to really take a look at it and say, Okay, look, this is true. I am in process. So when I talk about creating your shelter, and as we talked about in the last episode, Alan said he was going up there every almost every day, whatever, for a couple of weeks, working a little bit here, a little bit there. And that's kind of the idea behind this. We're just putting in each day certain input to our life, to our systems, to our families, the input that is effective. Input equals output. We want to be able to control our thoughts, our words, our feelings, and actions so that our results are exactly as we're thinking, speaking, feeling, and acting, so that we can't blame the world or others for our circumstances, so that we don't feel like we have to be hiding out, that we can stand strong as to who we are, we're not obligated to anybody, we're not under some subjugation of something that says that we are slave to something. We have autonomy, we have the ability to live freely in this world. Yes, there are a lot of laws. There are the laws of nature, the laws of man, and when you break them all down, when it comes to the truth, there's boundaries around the laws. And when you go across those boundaries, that's where you're you're going into the gray matter. That's when you're not being safe. So, you know, you want to kind of stay in the parameters of the laws of reality and work with them, whether they're laws of nature or laws of man, work with them in a way that keeps you functional, that keeps you less affected by all that's going on out there. So, first thing you can do is just start considering, okay, do I feel safe? Do I feel safe every day? Do I feel like my family is safe every day? Do I worry? So if you start to think, oh god, maybe I do worry a little bit, I know that I do sometimes. I, God, you know, it's a tough gig when your kids are out there in this world and you know, you already know what the world is of. And maybe your children don't have that same experiential matter, and you don't really want to put it on them as a projection to keep them from experiencing life, but you want to keep a watchful eye, but you don't want to worry, I don't want to worry so much that it takes me away from enjoying my present moments. So, ways that we go about this with our phones, with kids, or whatever we have, tracking devices, if you will. We have the ability to uh share locations so we can through our phones keep track of each other. When I was a kid, we didn't have that tracking device like that. It was mom's intuition, and the way that I got called home was I'd hear her voice calling my name, and so then I would go home. In today's world, we're texting, we're calling, we're working through our apps to communicate, and we have somewhat reduced our ability to have face-to-face conversations in a way that we still feel certain and confident and able to work through our lives. But we want to do it because it's something that's becoming a way of the past. And if you want to live each day using your thoughts, words, feelings, and actions to get positive results, working in a world of 8 billion people, some who are up to no good, and some who are up to a lot of good and a lot of in-betweens, you got to figure out where you stand, and then you've got to be able to start engaging in that world, knowing that, hey, I'm in a plethora of emotional content, human behavior, an ocean of ripples of other people's decisions and indecisions, and I am going to live in this world and work through it unaffected by all of that. So then you do. You live in a way that keeps you unaffected by all the so-called BS or all of the information outside of you that is not conducive to your spiritual, physical, mental, emotional ascensions. And we want these ascensions to be going all the time. So I have to think, you know, what is it? Well, let's just ask this. What would I have to think? What would I have to speak? What would I have to feel? And what would I have to act in order to feel certain? What would I have to think, speak, feel, and act in order to feel or be confident, say? What would I have to think, speak, feel, and act to feel loved? And how do I go about this in doing it for myself so that I'm not dependent upon others for my worth? Now, yes, things come up and we find out uh if our shelter's secure, when the wind blows and all the leaves go off, and you're looking at a skeleton in your primitive shelter, you know you didn't do very well. So, in our lives, when the storms of life come and kind of strip us of our comfort levels and we're left to see some discomfort, how well are we working through it? And how well can we prepare ourselves the next time? So it's kind of like, okay, so this happened now. What can I do? What do I need to think, speak, feel, and act in order to not have this happen again? This preventative maintenance. So as we're working through these resources here of water, shelter, fire, and food, we're going to be getting into fire making next. Yeah, water, you know, it's pretty simple. And it's these are the reasons why I have put these four resources in the order that I have. Water, you just need to have it, and you need it more than you need the other three. And sometimes, though, shelter takes that priority above water. Sometimes fire does. It's a work, uh interplay. Just like our physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, an interplay. Just like our thoughts, words, feelings, and actions in interplay. But if we learn to use them and work with them accordingly, within the parameters of the laws that are given, we have what we would call success or effectiveness, good functionality. We are able to continue to beautify and make it better and better and better, continually growing, continue ascending. So as we're looking at water, shelter, fire, food, as we're thinking about getting into fire next, just consider this. How well is my shelter? Can I sleep when the wind blows? So just make sure you do a good job the first time with anything and everything. Don't do a half-ass job on anything. Give everything your very best. Make sure that you create a shelter that will keep you safe and protected from the harsh elements.
